Showing up late, or worse...not at all!
We hear the horror stories all the time, "Our DJ
didn't show up". Could you imagine the feeling when you walked in? What would your
boss think? What would your peers say? No entertainment = No party. Your boss
would not be happy if he / she wasted big dollars for people to "eat and run".
-
Playing Inappropriate Songs
Do you want your DJ to play, "Take This Job and Shove it"
at your company party? Or how does 4 continuous hours of Rap sound? Inexperienced
DJs do some pretty stupid things. Be careful....don't let their ignorance reflect poorly on
you!
-
Saying the "wrong thing"
What if your DJ introduced your boss to the group and
mispronounced his name? Or worse yet, introduced him by the wrong title? Improper
preparation and unprofessional etiquette are usual traits of the wrong DJ.
-
Poor equipment
Ever hear a broken speaker at the fast food window? That is very
similar to what your boss will sound like when addressing your group, if you hire the
wrong DJ. That's ok, he probably wouldn't mind, would he?
-
Playing too loud
This is one of the top 2 complaints people have about DJs (not playing
their requests is the other!) A DJ that is too deaf or too ignorant will literally scare people
out of the room by playing too loud. Party's over!
-
No insurance
"What if?" is a question that must be asked in the business world. Your
company has insurance protection, why shouldn't the company you hire? Good question!
-
Other insane acts of un-professionalism
"Wrong DJs" regularly add to the list of other
TRUE STORIES, such as the DJ that hit-on the boss's wife. Or the DJ that cut in front of
the President of the company in the buffet line. Or the DJ that wore a "Work Sucks" t-shirt
to a corporate event. Or the DJ that didn't bring the ONE song that the client asked
for. Or the DJ that fought with his girlfriend all night. Or the DJ that talked on his cell
phone half the night. Or the DJ that mispronounced the name of the company on the
microphone. The list goes on and on....(By the way; every previous scenario has been
reported to us about DJs that our corporate clients have used before us!)
