So we didn't add photography to our repertoire of wedding services casually. We spent years asking brides what they wanted in their wedding photography … and their answer was clear … they wanted stunningly beautiful & creative wedding photography, done by extremely experienced, talented and easy-going photographers; and packages packed with value … all at a realistic price.

Now, after years of planning, we've lined up a team of photographers to be the crowning jewel in a winning triage of wedding professionals. Call it the trinity, the trio, the triple play or just a great convenience for brides-to-be. Whatever it means to you, be rest assured the time we spent planning will mean a lot to those we serve.

Presented with the challenge of adding photographic services to our wedding services business, we went right to the top. We called Wally Spice, the most respected and iconic veteran photographer in town, and asked her to work for us. It took some real dealing to get her to come onboard and run our photography division, but our persistence has paid off. Her desire to satisfy our clients is in total harmony with our business philosophy. After hiring Wally, we asked her to find us 6 more as good as her. The end result was a home run. We now have the proverbial “as good as it gets” on our team.

Who is Wally Spice ?

Wally Spice (her real name!) is Director of Photography at Mike Staff Productions. Wally is one of the most esteemed wedding photographers in the entire country; having revolutionized the "photo-journalistic" approach to wedding photography in the early 1990's. In addition to being one of the most published wedding photographers in Michigan, Wally is a sought after expert in the field of creative wedding photography and album design; often being interviewed by local and national bridal publications such as "Brides Michigan" and "The Knot".

Wally is also highly regarded by fellow area wedding photographers, who voted her 2007-2008 President of the Detroit Professional Photographers Association, Michigan's most active and vibrant photography organization. Wally's dedication to learning (and teaching) the latest trends in wedding photography and cutting edge album design is unprecedented. One look at the amazing work of Wally Spice and you'll instantly know why so many other wedding photographers try to emulate her.

Each of our gifted photographers has been hand-picked and personally mentored by Wally. Her standards are very high; insisting that each lead photographer have a minimum of 10 years experience photographing weddings. Additionally, they must be hungry for continuous learning and growth. And finally, they must love the entire wedding experience … and be able to gracefully capture the emotional undercurrents of the day.
