Your wedding day holds so much special meaning for you, so how can you add more meaning to the day?! Here’s some things brides and grooms are doing to use their wedding day to change the world.
Cash for kisses. Place a small bowl or piggy bank in front of the bride and groom at the head table so that the guests may make a donation to a charity designated by the newlyweds. In exchange for the donation the bride and groom kiss; the larger the donation, the longer the kiss.
Favors with meaning. Instead of purchasing a wedding favor for guests, consider making a donation to a charity in honor of the event. You can announce your charity of choice as your table marker or have a small favor that compliments your donation. If you want to give guests favors, consider some eco friendly options such as tree saplings, canvas grocery bags or recycled notepads.
Blooming Smiles. Following your wedding, consider donating the flowers from your centerpieces to a senior living center. They made your night and now they can make someone’s day!
Be Fairy Godmothers. After your wedding, ask your bridesmaids to consider donating their dress so that a disadvantaged girl has a chance to go to prom.
