Our Love Story
Last Labor Day, Omar solicited Sahar’s family to pull off an elaborate plan. Sahar’s mother and sister pretended to be throwing her father a surprise 60th birthday party back in Sahar and Omar’s hometown of Detroit. Sahar and Omar traveled from NYC, where they live, for the fake surprise birthday. The day of the alleged party, Omar and Sahar went for a casual walk to take in the beautiful fall colors when Omar proposed. The grooms childhood friend Jesse Fenton was prepared on the route to snap photos Of the engagement. After the proposal, Sahara and Omar met up with friends and family for a small party including some surprise guests from out of town, at which point Sahar realized the surprise was for her and not her father!
Our Wedding Vision
Our vision was to bring our friends and family from across the world to our hometown of Detroit. We wanted them to have an appreciation for where we grew up and the communities and traditions we were part of. We had also been to over 30 weddings together so we wanted something unique and worldly, which summarizes our personal styles.
Our Wedding Photography
Dennis was the best! He had so many great ideas and was also appreciative of our style and likes / dislikes. He made sure to capture a variety, as well, in order to get the right photo!
Our Wedding Videography
You don’t realize how much of your own wedding you miss. Getting a video will not only get us to relive, but even live for the first time.
Our Wedding Memories
Omar: The whole thing, so hard to pick, but if I had to, the first look!
Sahar: Our entrance, we entered separately with our own entourages (bffs) pumping us up. It was so fun to experience that with the people we love.
