One word … easy! I so appreciate how smooth the whole process was. I live in Florida and one of the most stressful parts of planning a wedding in Michigan was choosing vendors without meeting them. I knew Mike Staff through friends and acquaintances who had previously used them and after speaking with them for the first time I knew it was who I wanted to trust with all the very important elements of our big day. 100% would recommend!Happy Bride, Amanda
Our Love Story
My fiancé and I met in 2015 on Tinder of all places. My friend Dan swiped right on him for me and our conversation took off when we both realized we were from Michigan originally. Over the next 3 1/2 years our love story blossomed and our very tight knit group of friends (all from Michigan and all living in Florida) went on amazing vacations together, hosted endless amounts of game nights, celebrated holidays and birthdays, and enjoyed escape room after escape room in the Tampa Bay area.
On August 18, 2018 we were signed up for the hardest and most exhilarating escape room yet. Little did I know that in one hour (and after escaping from a “burning house”) Tony was going to be on one knee asking to spend the rest of his life with me. Our Florida family was there to experience the magical moment with us and when we FaceTimed our parents to share the good news they had all traveled and met up at a restaurant in Michigan to be together for the announcement! It was the most amazing start to the life we will share together.
Our Wedding Video
A wedding video was important for us because we wanted to capture as much as the day as possible for us to be able to watch over and over. Brides-to-be … it’s true what they say! The day flies by in a blink of an eye and you will forget to take a step back and take in all the details. Thankfully we have our wedding video to reminisce on for the rest of our lives.
Our Wedding Photos
Shannon, our photographer, was AMAZING! She went above and beyond to ensure our day was captured with our vision in mind. She flawlessly executed our timeline to keep the day running smoothly. She offered suggestions along the way and gracefully captured photos of my grandmothers corsage and wedding ring who passed away unexpectedly two days before the wedding. I am truly thankful she was our photographer because she was so easy to work with and helped keep us all calm when things seemed to get hectic.
Our Wedding DJ
James, our DJ, was FANTASTIC! He is truly talented at what he does and was a calm presence on a truly hectic day, then brought the party as it started to pick up later in the night. He played acoustic guitar for our cocktail and it was beautiful.
Our first dance was to “Wasn’t Expecting That” by Jamie Lawson. About a year into our relationship Tony played this song for me and told me it basically summarized how lucky he felt to have found me during a time when he truly wasn’t expecting to find something serious. When we sat down to pick out our first dance song it was a no-brainer and we both decided this song was what we wanted our first dance as Mr and Mrs to be to.
Our Wedding Vision
The vision I had for our wedding included a lot of glamour and personal touches. Planning from Florida was tricky because I did not get to see our venues or meet our vendors before booking. I ultimately chose Mike Staff Productions because of their easy packages allowing me to have a photographer, videographer, DJ, and uplighting all in one! Check, check, check, and check off my wedding planning list! 😀
Our Favorite Wedding Memories
I think my favorite moment of the day was our first look. I’m so glad we elected to have our photography prior to the ceremony. That first moment together was so special and something we will both remember for the rest of our lives.
